Koji is Gai's half brother (on his mother side, unlike Holden who is Gai's half brother on his father's side). He is Nemi's 10th kitten. He was adopted to a normal family before his demonic energy started to excert itself. He was sealed by a Buddhist priest looking to make a name for himself by sealing up 108 demons. Coincidently, this priest would eventually also seal up Gai a few years later. Though his body is frozen in time in the seal, Koji is mentally aware of what is going on outside. Upon the priest's death, Koji was eventually able to break out of the prayer beads that he had been sealed into. Unable to return to the family who had adopted him as a kitten, and with Nemi now living in the demon realm and his father gone, Koji decides to go to the only family he has left, his younger (but now older) brother Gai. Because why should he have to try to make his way in the world in the body of a youth when he can have someone take care of him for him? He enjoys harassing Gai, and sometimes joins forces with Holden to make Gai's life difficult (when he's not riling up Holden because he can).
